Pedestrian areas with a great aesthetic impact

«The project was quite complex» – says the engineer Stefano Lavazza of Metropolitana Milanese – «because Viale Romagna is a historic area and falls under Law 42/2004 and therefore we had to respect some constraints imposed by the Superintendency and submit it to the Landscape Commission. The input was to maintain its original structure, which dates back to the early 1900s, with a central traffic area and two tree-lined side streets.»

The aim of the project was to strengthen the concept and vocation of the walkable area with a material modification of the surface, replacing the asphalt with self-locking pavers with a strong aesthetic impact.

The Serizzo coloring of VIA MILANO is made possible by production technologies, the result of company know-how, and by the use of an optimized mix design with selected fine aggregates which give the cement-based product a natural beauty and further resistance .
